In Jaén, within the vicinity of Segura de la Sierra and at the foot of Cerro Catena, lies a beautiful tapestry of olive trees and a lush pine forest that have been linked to the family history of the founder of 53savias for more than 150 years. This is Finca Las Talas, the origin of an extra virgin olive oil that is unique in the world.

Finca Las Talas is a space committed to the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations in 2015. During the maintenance procedures, collection, and production of EVOO 53savias, we want to do our part to preserve our legacy. Our commitment begins with these three objectives in particular:
Protecting our legacy

Finca Las Talas is a space committed to the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations in 2015. During the maintenance procedures, collection, and production of EVOO 53savias, we want to do our part to preserve our legacy. Our commitment begins with these three objectives in particular:
Objective 2: Zero hunger. We want to collaborate in enhancing the agricultural resources of our country by making local farming sustainable and more productive, promoting the incorporation of women into the field, using environmentally friendly agricultural practices, and strengthening the local economy.
Goal 12: Sustainable production and consumption. We do everything possible to improve the production of our olive groves by making the most of the resources. We are aligned with the Integrated Production process, respecting the vegetation cover between the olive trees, and using what remains from pruning to enhance the soil. This helps maintain soil moisture and nutrients, helps stop erosion, and contributes greatly to reducing CO2 emissions.
Goal 15: Life of terrestrial ecosystems. We constantly strive to maintain balance and biodiversity in our environment. The mountain and the pine forests surrounding Las Talas are essential ingredients which contribute to the unique flavor of 53savias oil and therefore, we ensure its care and respect its flora and fauna. The fact that we belong to the Natural Reserve of the Sierra de Segura, Cazorla and Las Villas strengthens us towards achieving this goal.
Over time, our intention is to gradually expand our commitment to sustainability. Something we will continue to talk about. And we will keep telling you.

"As fate would have it, the first harvest of 53savias began to bloom on a farm linked to family roots since 1860."
AURORA VILLACIEROS DURBÁN, Founder of 53savias.
